Wednesday 27th:
Screening, premiere: North East Fife Life

7.00pm Byre Theatre, St Andrews. Tickets £5, booking required.

Following an appointed programme of writing workshops led by RS, a screening of filmed monologues written by members of the Byre Writers and NE Fife community participants. Proceeds to support Byre Writers, St Andrews Play Club and North East Fife Community Hub.

While the rest of the year continues to take shape, here are a few highlights from 2021 to look back on:

2021 (past events)

February: The Art of Energy

Virtual exhibition to launch the Centre for Energy Ethics, University of St Andrews. A selection of poems from RS's pamphlet collection Rough Currency featured in the exhibition, and was awarded 2nd prize in the inaugural Art of Energy AwardThe Exhibition was extended to remain open throughout 2021, to mark COP26 taking place in Glasgow in November.

March: StAnza Poetry Festival

Online. THIS - the digital interactive poetry reading by RS + Steve Smart, commissioned by StAnza and Book Week Scotland; showed throughout March.

 

April: Soutar Festival of Words

Special filmed reading of Alexander Hutchison's poem Everything.

June: Rough Currency launch

Online launch event for Rough Currency, with readings and discussion. 

 

July: KIOSK - at An Lanntair (Stornoway)

Until 21 Aug, physical exhibition plus online content. RS's visual poetry work Notes for a Traveller.

 

November: Circles, Cycles, Currency and Breath

Poetry workshop at AK Bell Library, Perth; to mark COP26. 

 

Shape / Shift: concrete poetry in action 

Poetry workshop at the Byre Theatre, St Andrews, with the Centre for Energy Ethics.
