Tuesday 13th:

Games Night: sustainability, agency and risk. University of St Andrews, Hebdomadar's Room, 4-6pm. Free, space limited: please book by emailing pajs1@st-andrews.ac.uk (Dr Pauline Souleau). Presented by the Centre for Energy Ethics, RS + Pauline Souleau. An in-person games night; creative ways of framing climate action and sustainability, embodying some of the concepts addressed by the online event Our Ludic Augury (31 Jan).

Friday 23rd:

How Do We Talk About Knives  - anthology reading event. St Andrews, Fife: Parliament Hall, South Street.

6-8pm. Free, no booking required. Hosted by the Centre for Poetic Innovation (University of St Andrews), Matecznik Press, and Platform Poetry. RS and other poets reading from the anthology: Elodie Laügt, Marcas Mac an Tuairneir, and Vahid Davar.

Sunday 10th:

StAnza, Scotland's International Poetry Festival: Braided Poetry: reading and workshop (online). 10.00am – 11.30am | Zoom | from £5.00. Premiere of new braided text written by RS + Monika SzubaI offer you a needleFollowed by a workshop with RS + Elodie Laügt. Supported by StAnza, the Centre for Poetic Innovation and the Centre for Energy Ethics (University of St Andrews), and the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society (Munich). Friday 15th: 

How Do We Talk About Knives (Matecznik Press) - anthology reading event with Scottish Writers Centre at the Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow. Readers RS, Marcas Mac an Tuairneir, Samina Chaudhry, Carrie Marshall, Ngan Nguyen, Xinyi Jiang, and Christie Williamson. 7pm, free - details + booking here

 

APRIL

Saturday 6th:

Byre Theatre, St Andrews: 7.30pm, And the Birds Did Sing by Curious Seed - for the aftershow gathering 'Staying On', RS reads from Long Field Loop - with other invited guests John McCann and Quee MacArthur. Booking here.

Thursday 11th:

Lapidus Scotland Networking Event: Mitchell Library (Blythswood Room), Glasgow. 6.15pm-7.45pm. RS talking about the anthology project How Do We Talk About Knives, and reading. Details and (free) registration here. In-person and online. Other guest speaker, Elaine Konopka on elemental awareness in writing for wellbeing.

Monday 15th:

Health of the Sublime in the Mearns: RS leads the first block of poetry + nature writing online classes for this project led by artist Carrie Fertig with Mearns and Coastal Healthy Living Network (MCHLN) and Creative Scotland. This block fully subscribed. Check the link for later blocks and other strands

Wednesday 17th: 

Off the Rails Writing Group - Block 2. Fortnightly Wednesdays 6-9pm for 5 sessions (final session 12th June), £160 for all 5 sessions. Previous attendance not required, space available for newcomers.

Thursday 23rd:

LONG FIELD LOOP: Launch. Byre Theatre, St Andrews. 6pm. Free, booking requiredRS's new collection of poems (Tapsalteerie), written during an 18-month project as Artist-in-Residence with the Centre for Energy Ethics (University of St Andrews). Launch features a special performance with composer/musician Alex South.

 

Friday 24th:

Forth Fridays at The Book Nook, Stirling, 7pm. How Do We Talk About Knives - anthology published by Matecznik Press, co-edited by RS. Please note RS is *not* reading at this event. Readers include Marcas Mac an Tuairneir and Laura T Fyfe. Booking to follow.
